XYZ Internet Company, as an Internet Service Provider, recognizes the wide-ranging needs and demands of end users pertaining to access to data telecommunications network services. The company is relying on the management team to ensure that internal and external operations are running efficiently and that the company is well on its way to realizing its goals and vision for XYZ.

The management is expected to carry out principal roles of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, taking into consideration the nature of the working environment. Section 1 The XYZ Internet Company is currently providing typical home user connections. As of the moment, the company only offers DSL and Broadband Wireless Access to home users. The need to become competitive in the market is forcing drastic contributions and improvements to the type of services provided by the company.

XYZ Internet Company is building its way up to the market ladder by targeting typical business user connections, and eventually venturing into other services such as home and business internet solutions, hosting services, access points, etc. XYZ Internet Company is a service-oriented company. Moreover, it is the company’s ambition to launch a series of innovative web-based services that will add value and viability to XYZ Internet Company. This move is projected to increase the population of end users.

Company operations will be moving at a swift pace to cope with the fast-growing industry competitively. It is expected that the company will be working compellingly to do so, and it is banking on the expertise of the management team to facilitate pacing and adjustment in the work environment. In the next few years, the company is expecting that the company will be weighted down by wide-ranging activities to be able to expand the business and eventually launch a series of services aforementioned for end users. (Barnett, 2007)

Several functions will be carried out by different departments (i. e. innovations, financial, technical, logistics departments, etc. ) and the management team is expected to oversee operations to ensure that work activities are in line with the goals of the company, the functions of the different departments are being pursued, relevant information and much-needed resources are at hand, and the decisions are made according to the goals of the company. The decision-making process should be based on all possible resolutions to address the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives.

Moreover, decisions should be based on the goals and objectives of the organization, priorities of the organization, legal and ethical standards or issues, strengths and weaknesses of the company, and forecasts. When everything is considered in problem analysis, the manager is now able to make a sound decision. (Kotelnikov, 2008) In addition to these roles and responsibilities, the management is to implement suitable concepts and principles of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. (Barnett, 2007)
