It provided the process, efficiency and product of interview methods in examining issues of domestic violence.

It was offered as an effective way for investigating the impact of victimization. It was a valuable source in evaluating the role of qualitative research designs in examining domestic violence in terms of the provision of multicultural perspectives on this topic. It allowed for the researches to include the perceptions and experiences of victims and understand the effects of domestic violence.

This book provided a collection of scholarly articles that examined violence in couples. Johnson discussed about the types of domestic violence that were produced through different research approaches.

There was a stress at the significance of research methods in producing different types of domestic violence descriptions and perspectives. He recognized that there were few characteristics that differ according to the research type. He discussed about the interpersonal roots of conflict. He presented his theory for “patriarchal terrorism” which served as a vital theory in the study of domestic violence.

Johnson introduced two forms of domestic violence that served as the foundation of numerous studies on domestic violence. It served as a guide for education programs, public policies and intervention approaches when it came to dealing with social cases of domestic violence.

He offered these two forms as “common couple violence” and “patriarchal terrorism” to guide social workers and policy legislators in the appropriate formulation and implementation of resolutions for this problem. As it served as a basis for numerous studies on domestic violence, this research would serve as a model for the understanding of domestic violence and its classifications.

This research examined the effectiveness of the Experimental Social Innovation and Dissemination (ESID) model when used to reduce male violence against women. It was a model that was appropriate in addressing different social problems.

It was an experimental study that was based on the existing evidence that it provided opportunity for innovations. This paper described the process by which the model was a success in addressing domestic violence against women. The research made use of a quantitative research design with an experimental method. It evaluated the results of the experimentation through a statistic tool, the multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) to test the major outcome measures such as physical and psychological abuse, depression, social support and post-intervention.

This strategy provided analysis of the outcome at the same time. It was a significant research because of the its novel contributions to the search for effective intervention strategies that prevented domestic violence from increasing.
